About Our Founders

Masha and Sabiha Quraishi are the visionary founders of Masha Inc., a cornerstone of artistry and tradition located in the heart of Nob Hill on historic Route 66 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Mashallah Quraishi, affectionately known as Masha, graduated from New Mexico State University and ventured into the southwestern jewelry scene in 1978. With a deep-seated passion for Tribal Indian Jewelry, Masha initially traded Native Indian handmade pieces crafted by the Navajo and Hopi tribes.

Alongside his brother, Masha traveled to Hopi, Santo Domingo, Zuni and Navajo reservations, sourcing unique crafts to sell at Albuquerque flea markets. His approachable demeanor and trading acumen quickly established his reputation, allowing him to amass an exquisite collection.

Masha’s journey evolved as he delved into jewelry manufacturing techniques, exploring new design possibilities. He eventually launched his own line of Southwestern jewelry, further cementing his status as a dedicated jeweler and designer. His innovative work includes the revival and standardization of many Mogollon Motifs, which continue to influence the industry.

In the winter of 1986, Masha’s path intertwined with Sabiha’s, leading to a partnership both personal and professional.

Sabiha, holding a Master’s degree in botany, initially channeled her creative passions into launching a specialty line of Southwestern watches, which she sold through magazines via her mail order business, Sabiha's Exclusives.

Her unique approach to design and her flair for business led her to eventually combine the two brands and become the President and owner of Masha USA.

Today, Sabiha's leadership has steered Masha USA to become one of the fewest women-owned businesses in the industry that collaborates directly with Native American artists and craftspeople.

Under her guidance, the company maintains a robust online presence, ensuring their unique and meticulously crafted pieces are accessible worldwide

Physical Location

Located on Central Avenue in the Historic Nob Hill neighborhood of Albuquerque, our cherished jewelry store has been a beacon of artisan craftsmanship since its inception.

In January 2020, shortly before the global pandemic began, a devastating fire severely damaged our premises.

Despite this setback, we have been dedicatedly working to rebuild our physical storefront to once again welcome you.

While we face these challenges, we remain partially operational, ensuring that our online store is fully active and that daily shipments from our warehouse continue without delay, allowing our artisan-crafted jewelry to reach our customers promptly.
